Sorry it's been so long since I've written! I had exams :( which are no fun. But now school is over and I can write plenty! So I recently read Fullmetal Alchemist (a manga about alchemy and the Philosopher's stone and stuffs which I won't reveal in case of even minor spoilers) and it was A-MA-ZING! I am watching the anime (Brotherhood, not the original. It comes on high recommendation) and it is so crazy to hear the characters come to life with voices and stuff! I don't have too much to say, but I will let you guys in on some fun news! I got a dog! AAAAAAH she's so cute. She's a 9.5 lb. 1-year-old Dachsund. Her name is Rockie and if I can get a picture onto my computer (all my pics of her are on my phone) I'll show ya. Anywho, time for some music recommendations.
POP MUSIC:
-Summer Paradise (feat. Sean Paul) by Simple Plan is a personal favourite of mine at the time
-Life of the Party by Aleesia is SO CATCHY it's stuck in my head and won't go away
-Count On Me by Bruno Mars is very sweet, another great song by one of my favourite pop artists
RANDOM NON-MAINSTREAM MUSIC:
-Heart of Courage by Two Steps From Hell is dang epic! A recommendation from a good friend of mine
-The Last Stand by Two Steps From Hell is almost as epic as Heart of Courage. I am so obsessed with Two Steps From Hell right now guys, it's not even funny!
-To Glory by Two Steps From Hell is VERY intense!!!! Basically any Two Steps From Hell music appeals to me
So that's it for music from me. In terms of other stuff to check out, my Two Steps From Hell recommending friend is on deviantART so check her gallery out if you want to see some cool art. Not all of it can be understood by me (and maybe you, too, readers) as there is lots of Homestuck fan art. But hey, the pictures are still fantastic and to be viewed by anyone who so chooses.
She's on the website as ~cafhin if you want to give her some page views. She sometimes mentions me as 'The Girl Who Makes Me Read.'
And onto books! The Steampunk Chronicles by Kady Cross are current favourites of mine, so far there are only two books out (the second is still in hardcover), The Girl In The Steel Corset and The Girl In The Clockwork Collar. There's an edition of Steel Corset that includes the prequel novella The Strange Case of Finley Jayne which I recommend reading, since it gives you some insight into certain occurrences and characters, plus there are some details in the other two books that you'll get after reading Strange Case (and nods to it by the author). Love these books. I don't think they get a lot of love in popular culture, definitely not as much as their fellow steampunk books (example: Cassandra Clare's Infernal Devices series–WHICH IS AWESOME!). Read them NOW!
So that's about it for me. I'm hanging around the house pretty much all summer, no big plans this year, so I'll be posting lots for your reading pleasure!
Keep calm and party on!
